BLOM

During the last semester of the course 'Industrial Product Design' we were devided into teams of 7. We would be working in these teams as a real product design office.

One of the assignments we got was to make an innovative product that had a connection to 'green' or 'ecological'.

We came up with BLOM, a new type of plant pot that will grow with your plant. It's made out of two pieces, a flexible top and a hard bottom. The pot can change size by folding over the rim.

For this assignment we were required to make a product that was ready for the market. We made technical drawings and financial calculations. All the required research had to be done, like finding suppliers, how to reach potential customers, etc ...

We started a small production line and created 30 units. Of these 30 units there were only 6 left after the first two weeks.
